New Year's Resolution to Change Your Life

Make a New Year’s Resolution for 2012 that will significantly change your life.

Choose gratitude.

Last year we created a Gratitude Wall in our laundry room and encouraged our children, along with us, to write things they were grateful for and pin them to the wall. Even our youngest child got involved. When we each took time to be grateful for the things we already had instead of longing for the things we didn’t we began to enjoy life more. Our happiness as a family increased. At first our children were grateful for “things” but as time passed they began to list items like food, legs, eyes, laughing, sunshine as well as rain, good grades, and each other. Most of these items we take for granted everyday.

The transformation in our children as well as my husband and I is indescribable. It is something you must experience to believe.  So, my challenge to you this New Year is to make a Gratitude Wall and discover everything you and your children have to be grateful for.

I encourage you to share this challenge with others. Leave your comments.  I would love to hear how a Gratitude Wall changes your life.
